Leather and wood cases are the most traditional and possibly the most elegant type of cigar cases.  Some have the useful feature of telescoping, which means they can be extended to accommodate longer cigars.  The price of these cases will vary depending on materials used, size, and options.  Some brands have a Spanish cedar lining, leather exterior, and crush proof dividers which offer extra protection for cigars.  The disadvantage to leather cases is that they are hygroscopic and will absorb humidity away from your cigars.  Ultimately, these cases are only valuable for short term storage lasting a day or less.
